The lecture will address the "Warfighter or Office Worker - Converting Operating Dollars to Mission Funding by Leveraging Emerging Technologies fro Real Property Asset Management."
More people want more information from a more diverse number of sources with greater efficiency, consistency and transparency at lower operating costs to make faster, better informed business decisions necessary to meet their mission objectives, but often times fail to address the ‘unsexy' behind the scenes work necessary to evolve the Real Property industry to the next level of operating excellence.
In the same manner business entities within the Travel, High Tech Manufacturing, Financial sectors shared in providing labor resource and funding to develop interoperable data exchange standards yielding significant operating efficiencies and financial returns, members of the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate (OSCRE) with an understanding of the business value are leading the way for their organizations and Real Property industry for real business transformation.
This lecture will be co-presented by OSCRE CEO Andy Fuhrman, who will provide a view of the business challenges, solutions, value and the organizations taking a leadership role transforming the way our industry operates. Reinforcing the business value from an end-user perspective, Lt. Colonel Mark Madaus, USAF - Asset Management Optimization Branch will provide insight into their mission to reduce operating expenses and portfolio size 20% by 2020. A key component enabling Air Force to identify potential disposal properties is OSCRE's Space Classification Standard. Both presenters will make a business case that the Air Force model should be seriously reviewed, discussed and considered for adoption by other Federal agencies as a fundamental element many other enhanced business solutions can be developed from.
